The Summer House
This bespoke house on the Isle of Lewis is reminiscent of the traditional 'airidhs' found on Lewis and Harris. Airidhs are summer dwellings where in times gone by, communities would go and live throughout the summer months. They were a place of stories and memories, where the culture of the island people resonated strongly. The Summer House echoes the vibrant colour and creative spirit found in these quirky buildings, which are distinctly different to the traditional island stone croft houses.
